This Course consisted of two parts, the design and the structural design. Given two materials to work with for the structure, I chose to use timber as the main element of the Auditorium structure, with steel elements for the bracing. The Auditorium design was inspired by floating buoy's in the ocean, approach the building from the opposing side over the ocean, the building appears to float in the view. The main Auditorium is the focus of this building. It is expressed in the form of a sphere floating in the center of the room, with every element of the structure lending itself to support this central element.
